Pre-School

FCOP welcomes you and your child to the pre-school department. Thank you for the privilege of allowing us to minister to your children. The classrooms are divided by age groups and we provide godly men and women who are adequately trained to serve as positive role models while they minister with children. We aim to provide a safe, secure, loving environment in which children can participate while parents feel comfortable leaving their child. It is our desire to help children feel a warm sense of belonging to their church family and ensure each child feels welcomed and wanted. We want to meet the needs of the children and help them in their growth spiritually, physically, and socially. We want each child to know that God is real and that a relationship with him gives meaning to life. We also support the family in the responsibility for the spiritual nurture and growth of their child.

Guidelines

  1. The pre-school department includes ages 2 through kindergarten.
  2. Our pre-school rooms open 10 minutes before each service.
  3. All parents must fill out a FCOP registration card for their child.
  4. If your child has any special care requirements, please note them on the registration card.
  5. At the time you check your child into the classroom, you will be issued a security card with an assigned number. The call number will be displayed on the screen in the auditorium if you are needed during the service.
  6. Please do not lose the security card issued to you at check-in. You must have this card to pick up your child. If you lose your card, you will be asked to show a photo ID.
  7. In order for our teachers to spend the most time possible with the class, please have your child take a restroom break before class begins.
  8. A snack is provided, so please feed your children before bringing them to class.
  9. Do not bring your child to class if he or she is sick. We will not accept a child with any symptoms of fever, diarrhea, runny nose, or cough.
  10. We cannot administer medication to your child. If your child required medication during the service, it is your responsibility to administer it.
  11. Please label diapers, diaper bags, bibles, and purses with the child's name.
  12. Children should be picked up within 15 minutes after the regular closing time of the service. If you are not able to pick up your child within this time limit, please make arrangements for someone else to pick up your child. They will need the security card to do so.
  13. Each child advances to the next class on their first service following their birthday, except in the kindergarten class. They will advance the following school year.
  14. We welcome parents to stay with their children if they are causing a distraction within the classroom.
  15. All adult visitors are required to wear a name tag when observing or visiting the pre-school classes. No adult visitor will be allowed to help teach or take children to the restroom.
