Rex and Amy Walker currently serve as Associate Pastors at Family Cathedral of Praise (FCOP) in Mesquite, Texas. Rex ministers in the great legacy of his grandfather, the late Rev. J.C. Hibbard; and Amy ministers in the great legacy of her grandfather, Rev. Harry M. Sewell, who founded Family Cathedral of Praise over 39 years ago. At FCOP Rex and Amy minister to couples in the church, and are leaders over the FCOP 50+ small group ministries. Rex founded Southwestern States Theological Institute in 1998 as a ministry of FCOP, and to date over 100 students have graduated with a degree in theology. Amy is also very involved in the music ministry. They have two beautiful children, Brittany and Brennan, whom they are training to be godly leaders in their home and at school.

Earlier in Rexs life, Kim Clement prophesied over him saying, "You shall have hands of healing." In 1995 Rex entered into medical school and was 6 weeks away from becoming a doctor when the Lord spoke to him and changed his direction in life. Since that time Rex entered the ministry with the other pastors at FCOP, and enjoys his role as an associate pastor to over 1,000 people. And the prophecy has come to fruition, as God has given him “hands of healing to the sick and brokenhearted.”
